A fire that broke out at a garage in Konapara area of Demra in the capital on Monday night was brought under control after an hour of efforts by the fire fighters.
The fire was brought under control at around 9:48pm, said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence’s media cell.
Fourteen parked buses of London Express were gutted in the fire at the garage, he said.
Anwarul said that five firefighting units worked to bring the fire under control, which originated at around 8:50pm.
No casualties have been reported in the fire yet, and the cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he mentioned.
